The aim of this final year project was to study regulations for planning electrification in temporary installations and use that information when planning a temporary electrical distribution network for the sports event Kuopio - Jukola 2014.
The work was started by investigating how to make an electrical plan for a distribution network. Then the necessary information about the event Kuopio-Jukola 2014 was collected from the users that participate in the event. The main task was to calculate and plan the electrical distribution network and plan lighting for the area as well and select the components for the distribution network. An emergency power net was also made to be available in case of a power cut. There was also material that circulates from event to event which was to be used when possible.
As a result of this project there was an electrification plan for the event Kuopio â Jukola and lists of the required components. The contractor could use the plan when making electrical distribution network as well as the com-missioner when purchasing the required material

Integrating Vegetation Indices Models and Phenological Classification with Composite SAR and Optical Data for Cereal Yield Estimation in Finland (Part I)
Special Issue Microwave Remote Sensing.Abstract: During 1996â2006 the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Finland, MTT Agrifood Research Finland and the Finnish Geodetic Institute carried out a joint remote sensing satellite research project. It evaluated the applicability of composite multispectral SAR and optical satellite data for cereal yield estimations in the annual crop inventory program. Three Vegetation Indices models (VGI, Infrared polynomial, NDVI and Composite multispetral SAR and NDVI) were validated to estimate cereal yield levels using solely optical and SAR satellite data (Composite Minimum Dataset). The average R2 for cereal yield (yb) was 0.627. The averaged composite SAR modeled grain yield level was 3,750 kg/ha (RMSE = 10.3%, 387 kg/ha) for high latitude spring cereals (4,018 kg/ha for spring wheat, 4,037 kg/ha for barley and 3,151 kg/ha for oats). Monitavoitearviointi Iijoen vaelluskalakantojen palauttamisen tukena
Iijoki oli yksi Suomen tĂ€rkeimmistĂ€ lohijoista. Iijoen alajuoksulle vuosina 1961â71 rakennetut voimalaitokset estĂ€vĂ€t vaelluskalojen nousun poikastuotantoalueille, joita on arvioitu olevan 600â800 hehtaaria.
Pregnancy-associated stroke -a systematic review of subsequent pregnancies and maternal health
BackgroundPregnancy-associated stroke is a rare but life-threatening event, with an estimated incidence of 30/100000 deliveries. Data on the risk of stroke recurrence and the risk of other adverse pregnancy outcomes are essential for adequate counselling and surveillance in subsequent pregnancies. The aim of this systematic review is to describe the implications of a pregnancy-associated stroke for the future health of these women.MethodsWe searched Ovid Medline, PubMed, Cochrane Library and CINAHL for articles published in 1980-2018. Articles including women with pregnancy-associated stroke and information on at least one of the following outcomes were included: 1) recurrence of stroke during subsequent pregnancy, 2) number and course of subsequent pregnancies and their outcomes and 3) subsequent cardiovascular health.ResultsTwelve articles were included in the review, with six providing information on subsequent pregnancies, four on subsequent maternal health and two on both. The included articles varied greatly in terms of study design, length of follow up and reported outcomes. We found 252 women with pregnancy-associated stroke for whom the outcomes of interest were reported: 135 women with information on subsequent pregnancies and 123 women with information on future health. In total, 55 pregnancies after stroke were found. In the majority of studies, the incidence of pregnancy complications was comparable to that of the general population. The risk of stroke recurrence during pregnancy was 2%. Data on subsequent health of these women were limited, and the quality of the data varied between the studies.ConclusionsData on subsequent pregnancies and health of women with a history of pregnancy-associated stroke are limited. Further research on this topic is essential for adequate counselling and secondary prevention.Peer reviewe
A Subspace Method for Dynamical Estimation of Evoked Potentials
It is a challenge in evoked potential (EP) analysis to incorporate prior physiological knowledge for estimation. In this paper, we address the problem of single-channel trial-to-trial EP characteristics estimation. Prior information about phase-locked properties of the EPs is assesed by means of estimated signal subspace and eigenvalue decomposition. Then for those situations that dynamic fluctuations from stimulus-to-stimulus could be expected, prior information can be exploited by means of state-space modeling and recursive Bayesian mean square estimation methods (Kalman filtering and smoothing). We demonstrate that a few dominant eigenvectors of the data correlation matrix are able to model trend-like changes of some component of the EPs, and that Kalman smoother algorithm is to be preferred in terms of better tracking capabilities and mean square error reduction. We also demonstrate the effect of strong artifacts, particularly eye blinks, on the quality of the signal subspace and EP estimates by means of independent component analysis applied as a prepossessing step on the multichannel measurements
